Mindfulness Grief and Loss Group

3rd Monday of the month 7:00 PM - 9:00PM

Grief is a natural state of the heart to be acknowledged...It's not something we "get over" though we must "pass through."

Grief and loss appear in many forms and quite often may feel overwhelming.  They touch all of us at some point, though often our culture does not give us the time or support we need to heal, leaving us feeling isolated and unsure.  Through group sharing that utilizes mindfulness reflective skills and contemplative reflection we can begin to feel whole and safe even in the midst of tremendous grief.

Mindful Yoga Workshop

Mindful Yoga Workshop

This workshop thoughtfully weaves together the practice of mindfulness with yoga movements or asanas. We will utilize the movements of Hatha Yoga to deepen the   awareness of our physical and emotional body. This workshop provides an opportunity to intentionally explore the mind-body connection and to practice with compassion.

We begin with a meditation, then move into a series of yoga movements, and conclude with a Yoga Nidra. Kayleigh will guide participants through various yoga poses while deepening the connection of mind, body, and breath. This class will support each person in finding their own personal balance and use movement to create deeper awareness and inner harmony.

The Embodied Narrative: "Moving out of our Past"

The Embodied Narrative: "Moving out of our past" With Perry Lisker & Rik Center

"We can't create a new past though we can create a new future, and it begins by being in the present."

We each carry a narrative story within us that can often run our lives with an adverse effect.  In this daylong retreat we will unfold and begin to dis-assemble parts of our story that are not useful (and not us) and yet we cling to them because we may feel lost without them. It's often scarier to move into the unknown than to stay with known.

In this workshop Perry & Rik will work within a mindful-somatic awareness process that enables attendees to feel and see more clearly the benefit of "releasing" old painful stories and "moving forward" into new possibilities of clam and joy.
