Mediation 101 Class: Open To Beginners and/or Advanced Meditation Practitioners.
Monday, August 6th 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
This class is opportunity to review the basics of meditation practice as we sit together, led by Rik Center.

A Vipassana meditation practice of “insight awareness” meditation offers us the opportunity to slow down and look within.

The evening consists of a meditation sitting, reflection and question & answer period.
Mindfulness Care Center workshops are offered on a dana/donation basis. We are supported by the practice of shared generosity, suggested $10-$20 donation, no one turned away due to lack of funds. Our programs are for everyone to gain new insights into life, themselves and inner healing.

Facilitated by Rik Center Cofounder of the MCC/Mindfulness Care Center. Rik is a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, SE/Somatic Experiencing Stress and Trauma Counselor/Practitioner, plus he has served as a Buddhist/Interfaith Chaplain at San Francisco General and CPMC Hospitals. Rik facilitates and leads a variety of mindfulness classes based around embodied practices of healing stress, unresolved anxieties, grief and loss. Rik has a private practice working one-on-one with his clients that focuses on healing high levels of unresolved traumatic anxiety and PTSD along with offering grief and spiritual counseling. He began his meditation practice in the late 80’s and has sat over 365 days in Meditation Retreats. He's connected to Abhayagiri a “Theravada Thai Forest Monastery” in Redwood Valley practicing in the Ajahn Chah Lineage with his spiritual friends and teacher Ajahn Pasanno. Rik leads a weekly ongoing Tuesday Evening Meditation Class. Rik sits on the Professional Advisory Group for Spiritual Care at the CPMC/Sutter Health Hospitals in San Francisco. He is a member of the USABP/United States Association Of Body Psychotherapy.
Assisted by Kayleigh Martin a certified embodied wellness coach and guided imagery practitioner, and 500-Hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher and holds her M.A. in Integrative Health Studies. With a deep understanding of how disconnection between the mind, body, and spirit can create suffering and illness, Kayleigh believes the body is the ultimate resource for healing and wellness. She continues to study the innate power of the body to heal itself through the work of Somatic Experiencing and blend of SE within the coaching framework.
